Where do our reviews come from?
After making an online purchase, most customers will receive an email a couple of weeks later asking what they think about their purchase. Most of our reviews come from those responding to this email, however customers who purchase in store can also leave a review directly on the relevant product page of our website. What’s more, as a little thank-you, for every review you leave, you’ll be entered into our monthly £250 e-gift card prize draw that can be used in store or online.
We also receive reviews from our fantastic brand partners. These are still reviews from real customers but are shared from the brand's website. Look out for the brand logos which highlight where the review was originally left.

What makes a good review?
We want our reviews to be full of genuine and honest feedback about a product – whether that’s positive or negative. If you didn't like it, we especially want to hear why, as it helps us to improve our offering. As a customer, it's always worth reading both the positive and negative reviews so you can make an informed buying decision.
Here are a few tips for writing reviews:
Upload photos of the product. Even if you’re no David Bailey, we love to see our products in-situ.
Focus on the product rather than the service (we have a proper place to leave service reviews, see FAQs below)
Include a description of the quality and feel of the product.
Talk about whether it was what you expected, and does it look like it did on the website.
Include how you rate the value of this product.

Product review policy
All product reviews submitted on our website are moderated to ensure fake or misleading reviews are detected and removed.
Fake Reviews: We use Bazaarvoice to moderate all product reviews on our website. Bazaarvoice Moderation uses a combination of machine learning technology and a human moderation team to review user-generated content prior to it being posted on our website.
Incentivised Reviews: When a customer or colleague is provided a product for free to encourage an open and honest review, we will automatically badge up the reviews appropriately for full transparency. We will never require a positive review to be left and we will not provide guidance on what to include in any incentivised review. It is important that these reviews are genuine and honest.
Syndicated Reviews: For third-party branded products, sometimes a review on our website will be taken directly from the brand’s website. Where this happens, these reviews are subject to the same Bazaarvoice moderation as any other review would be.
